Learnix is built as an open academic initiative for university students. You can browse, preview, and download study handouts without mandatory account registration. When logging into student contributor or moderator sessions, we only process basic credentials (such as your name, university email, and profile photo) provided securely via Firebase Authentication.
2. Educational Purpose & Zero Monetization
We believe student knowledge should be free and accessible. We do not sell, rent, or commercialize your personal information or study patterns to third-party ad networks or brokers. Data is strictly utilized to operate academic indexing, verify resource submissions, and prevent platform abuse.
3. Local Storage & Client Preferences
We utilize browser LocalStorage solely to maintain your local client experience — such as your Dark/Light ambient theme mode, sound effects toggle, and your starred items in the Saved Bookmarks vault. This data remains on your local hardware device.
4. Cloud Documents & Google Drive Links
Course syllabus PDFs, past exam question papers, and solutions hosted on Google Drive or university servers are linked via public viewing embeds. Learnix does not alter your Google account permissions or access your private cloud drive folders.
5. Data Security & Integrity Protocols
All interactions between your browser and Learnix servers are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption. Administrative actions and database updates are protected by granular Firestore Security Rules.
