Personal and behavioral information
We collect only what's necessary to provide Learnix services. This includes:
- Account profile data your Google display name, email address, and profile photo (obtained via OAuth sign-in)
- Activity signals votes, comments, resource requests, and flagged reports you create
- Contributor data resource submissions, approval status, and contributor profile content
- Basic analytics page visits and interaction patterns used to improve platform quality
We never collect financial data, device location, or passwords. Learnix uses Google OAuth no passwords are stored on our servers.
How Your Data Is Used
Purpose-limited, never sold
Your data is used exclusively to operate and improve Learnix:
- Provide core features dashboard access, voting, commenting, saving, and contributing
- Moderate content reviewing reports, requests, and contributor submissions
- Personalise your experience profile display, activity history, and leaderboard rankings
- Improve reliability platform analytics to identify bugs and popular content
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Storage & Security
Firebase-backed, access-controlled
All user data is stored in Firebase (by Google), which provides enterprise-grade infrastructure with:
- Role-based access controls only admins can access sensitive data
- Firestore security rules enforcing read/write permissions per user role
- Data encrypted at rest and in transit via HTTPS/TLS
- Regular security rule reviews to prevent unauthorized access
You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. Use strong passwords and enable 2FA on your Google account.

You're in control of your data
You have the following rights regarding your Learnix data:
- Access view your profile data from the contributor dashboard
- Update edit your display name, bio, and profile details at any time
- Delete request full account and data deletion by contacting support
- Export request a copy of your data for portability
